Subject: Motivation to volunteer for PACJA
Message Body:
I am motivated to volunteer for PACJA because I am a climate resilience advocate whose passion aligns perfectly with hers, that is, ensuring that vulnerable African communities and populations are carried along in global climate policies on climate resilience, renewable energy, rural/urban communities’ adaptations and practices. As an environmental policy expert and social development advocate, I believe that volunteering for PACJA will provide real-life exposure to high-level negotiations on climate change, collaboration and networking opportunities with experts and actors in the climate change space, thus translating into major leaps for my career as a University lecturer. My involvement in the volunteering would in addition, help amplify voices on global actions for climate justice for vulnerable communities.
I would get involved through print and media campaigns, workshops and seminars that sensitizes people on the need for climate change awareness and resilience practices.
I hope to join the discussions and negotiations with world actors in the climate change space for the inclusion of African communities in the efforts to improving climate resilience of vulnerable populations.
