Subject: Request to join the PACJA Climate and Economic Justice Campaign

I recently followed the launch of the Climate and Economic Justice Campaign today, Thursday, 17 April 2025, and was truly inspired by the depth and quality of the presentations delivered by the various speakers. I am firmly convinced that there is much to learn and share on the interconnected themes of climate and economic justice, including their implications for just transition, climate finance, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Africa’s Agenda 2063.
The Environmental Protection and Development Association (EPDA) is a non-governmental organization operating in three key thematic areas:
- Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
- Environment and Natural Resources Management (ENRM)
- Agriculture and Food Security (AFS)
These focus areas enable us to implement impactful interventions, particularly in underserved and hard-to-reach communities, addressing the daily realities and needs of local populations.
In alignment with the goals of the campaign, we believe that joining this initiative and accessing its resources would significantly enhance our capacity to raise awareness and drive positive change around the issues of climate and economic justice. We are equally aware that being part of this campaign involves collaboration with other organizations and stakeholders to advance its mission at all levels.
We are deeply impressed by the leadership and vision of PACJA, and we would be honored to participate in this campaign and any other PACJA initiatives that contribute to strengthening our knowledge and capacity in sustainable development, climate adaptation and mitigation, and addressing Africa’s debt and development challenges.
